TheBlackSmithComma.com is amongst the first sites I ever created. In an effort to support my music (and a desire for creative control), I wanted a place where fans of my music could go and have a “mystery box” like experience. The site was designed with a focus on visuals that tied in with the theme of a particular song. Each image being selected with the goal of appealing to the users curiosity. This method was to encourage fans to return to the site to see what new images had been added and what relevance they had to the post/song to which they were affiliated.

V.2 came from fan feedback. Many had difficulty locating specific songs, so, in an effort to make the music more accessible, I opted for a cleaner, more straight-forward approach.
